STEP 5: Advising

For this step, you will contact Brittany Hunnicutt at (662) 329-7191 or blhunnicutt@muw.edu to be assigned an advisor. Your advisor will go over your transcript to help you determine which courses you need to take each semester and provide you with your RAP number to register. They will also provide guidance throughout your program, including how to access your online courses in The W's learning management system, Canvas.

Students will need an ACT composite score of 21 or higher or minimum Praxis Core scores to progress through the Elementary Education major. The current Praxis Core requirements for each section of the test are: Reading (156 or higher), Writing (162 or higher), and Math (150 or higher). Please call for additional consultation concerning testing.
