Mississippi Governor’s School returns to The W campus

COLUMBUS, Miss.--The Mississippi Governor’s School (MGS) returns to the Mississippi University for Women campus June 5-18 following a two-year hiatus due to COVID-19.
As missioned, the School of Education is organized to enhance MUW's degree-based teacher preparation programs while also providing critical outreach to the region and state through development opportunities for working professionals, life enrichment programs for members of the community, early childhood and parent education and development, and enrichment programs for Pre-K - 12 students. The School of Education is comprehensively designed to serve student populations from Pre-K through retirement.
Education is so much more than classroom instruction. The School of Education is specifically organized to leverage the combined resources of a comprehensive unit with a focus on Education from early childhood to post-graduate options. As such, the School functions as a hub for all things related to Education. Comprised of the Education undergraduate and graduate academic programs, the Office of Outreach & Innovation, the Child & Parent Development Center, Governor’s School, Summer Discovery, and the Complete-to-Compete C2C program, we pride ourselves on providing resources, guidance, and encouragement for our students at every stage of life.
