The Faculty Research and Creative Activity Awards range from early career research and creative activity to sustained research and creative activity over the course of an academic career.

“It is a privilege to have this opportunity to recognize our faculty for their outstanding research, creative and scholarly activities. Their endeavors not only add to the body of work in their respective disciplines, but as their experiences are brought into the classroom, it strengthens The W’s role as a top-notch teaching institution,” said Dr. Scott Tollison, provost and vice president of academic affairs.

The awards will be determined through a nomination process by the university community and selected after review by the Faculty Research Committee (FRC). Awards will be distributed at the Faculty Research and Creative Activity Luncheon.

The deadline for accepting nominations is Friday, Oct. 6. Award notifications will take place Monday, Oct. 11. The awards will be presented during the Faculty Research and Creative Activity Luncheon, scheduled to take place Friday, Nov. 3 at the Culinary Arts Institute. This event will provide an opportunity for our academic community to come together and celebrate the achievements of these remarkable individuals.

“The Faculty Research Award luncheon highlights the pursuit of research funding and encourages community scholars and artists. It is a way to encourage excitement and productivity across the many academic disciplines at The W,” said Trish Caston, director of sponsored and collaborative projects.
