Gallery Talk: Día de los Muertos

November 1, 2023 @ 12:00 pm - 1:00 pm

Our celebration of this Mexican tradition is back with our annual Day of the Dead altar. Students in Professor Erinn Holloway’s Spanish class will give a gallery talk about the tradition in front of the installation.
We are adding Guatemalan Day of the Dead kites to the celebration this year. Kite-making workshops will open to university students. After the conclusion of all workshops, we will have a ‘flight day’ to show off the colorful creations. Finally, teams of art students will compete to make the most outstanding large-scale kite.
