Constitution & Citizenship Day Celebration

September 17 is Constitution Day & Citizenship Day, marking the anniversary of the signing of the US Constitution in 1787. At The W, we’ll be celebrating with yard games and trivia, a patriotic photo booth, and voter registration and education.
This year, there are two ways to win a $20 gift card:
- Get the day’s highest score on the US civics and constitutional trivia quiz, or
- Win a campus-wide vote for best photo taken at the patriotic photo booth.
If you’d like to volunteer to administer the trivia quiz, help out at the photo booth, or assist in voter registration and education, we’d love to have your help! Complete the volunteer sign-up sheet to let us know.
This event is part of the America 250 series of special events co-sponsored by Mississippi University for Women, the Mississippi School for Math and Science, and the Columbus-Lowndes Public Library. The series provides opportunities to reflect on the American experiment as we mark the 250th anniversary of the Declaration of Independence.
