The CAST program is a professional certificate course for anyone working in the field of child welfare. Participants learn to identify, assess, manage and respond to cases of child abuse and neglect. The program equips professionals with the knowledge and skills needed to ensure the safety and well-being of children who have been victims of abuse or neglect. Participants are also provided with resources to help them stay up-to-date on best practices in child welfare.

The program was developed by the National Child Protection Training Center to prepare students to work as part of multidisciplinary teams in response to child maltreatment.
