The Town and Tower Club of Columbus, founded more than two decades ago, has been reinvigorated with its first meeting of the year set for Thursday, March 9 at 11:30 a.m. in Hogarth Dining Center, Pope Banquet Room, at Mississippi University for Women.

Mayor Keith Gaskin

Columbus Mayor Keith Gaskin will be the guest speaker at the luncheon. Mayor Gaskin will discuss how citizens can and should get involved in local government.

For safety reasons, the organization halted its quarterly meetings in 2020 shortly after the pandemic.

W President Nora Miller said, “We look forward to reviving Town and Tower. The mission of this organization is to foster and strengthen relationships between the university, the community and CAFB.”

Quarterly meetings will be held with guests from the broader community and area serving as featured speakers. Upcoming meetings will be held in June and September with the December program reserved for honoring individuals for their service to the campus and the community.
