“The Department is excited to welcome W Science Campers for the 2026 summer camp,” said Dr. Michael Dodson, assistant professor of biology at The W. “The venue is changing to Parkinson Hall on The W’s campus this year to create new experiences for our students such as showing our natural history collection. We will also be able to show how college courses and labs are set up and see how research is done at the university level. We are excited to have our science camp going strong for the fourth year!”

The program will be held from 8 a.m.-noon each of the four days. It will feature educational activities focused on science and mathematics, covering several different fields of study.

There will be lunch and snack breaks, however, students will need to bring their own food appropriate for their individual dietary needs.

The program is free to students thanks to the University and donor support.

Space is limited, and only 20 students will be accepted. The age range for participants is 9-14. Younger and older participants may be considered if space allows.

The registration deadline is May 30. To register, please visit www.muw.edu/sciencecamp/.
