Summer Commencement set for July 24
Mississippi University for Women will celebrate summer graduates during the annual commencement ceremony Friday, July 24 at 11 a.m. in Rent Auditorium, Whitfield Hall, on The W’s campus.

The ceremony will feature students graduating from the College of Arts and Sciences, College of Business and Professional Studies, Vandergriff College of Nursing and Health Sciences and School of Education.
“The W’s graduates are prepared to make significant and immediate contributions to our state’s workforce and local communities,” said Dr. Scott Tollison, interim university president . “We are proud of their achievements thus far and excited to see the positive differences they will make in the world.”
Tickets will be distributed from 8:30-9:45 a.m. in Parkinson Hall.
Doors will open to guests at 10 a.m. and close at 10:45 a.m. Each graduate will receive four tickets. There are no extra tickets. Family and friends (including all children and infants) attending commencement must have an admission ticket to enter. The Nissan Auditorium located in Parkinson Hall will be open on campus to view the livestream broadcast.
The conferral ceremonies will be live streamed at muw.edu for family members and loved ones to enjoy at home or on a phone, tablet or computer.
Graduates are encouraged to share their celebratory photos by using #LongBlueLine. Photos and videos also may be submitted to socialmedia@muw.edu.
Any changes to commencement will be communicated directly to attending graduates through their myapps email and through the commencement website.
