Mississippi University for Women’s Council on Family Relations (WCFR) and Student Government Association (SGA) are teaming up to collect supplies for the Owl Food Pantry.

The pantry, which is located in Cochran Hall, provides food and hygiene items to all W students.

Donations are being accepted until Thursday, Nov. 9, at multiple locations across campus including the Education and Human Sciences building, Fant Memorial Library, Cochran Hall, Painter Hall, Reneau Hall and the residence halls.

Items that are accepted include shelf-stable items such as cereal, water, canned items, peanut butter and other nonperishable items.

Additionally, hygiene items such as toothpaste, toothbrushes and toilet paper are being accepted.

“On average, our students will struggle with food insecurity for three months before seeking assistance. By maintaining a well-stocked pantry, we show each patron that there are enough resources to meet their needs,” said Dean of Students Jess Harpole.
