The Mississippi Board of Trustees of State Institutions of Higher Learning will host listening sessions on Tuesday, April 14 to solicit input from students, faculty, staff, alumni and community stakeholders on the qualifications and qualities they want to see in candidates for the next president of the Mississippi University for Women. Comments may also be submitted online at the MUW presidential search page (https://www.mississippi.edu/muw) through 5 p.m. on Tuesday, April 14.

Current President Nora Miller has announced her retirement, effective June 30, 2026.

Listening sessions will be held at 11 a.m. and 2  p.m. in the Cochran Limbert Assembly Room of Thad and Rose Cochran Hall on The W’s campus. Sessions will also be livestreamed at www.muw.edu/live.

The listening sessions will be an initial step in the search process. IHL Board of Trustees has not yet formally announced a timeline for the process.
