Blues Week 26 kicks off Aug. 15
Mississippi University for Women will start the academic year with a week full of activities for students, beginning Saturday, Aug. 15.

Sponsored by the Office of Student Life, Blues Week is an annual event that welcomes new and returning students to The W’s campus each fall. A week’s worth of programming prepares students to take on the new school year.
“We have a ton of exciting programs happening during the first two weeks of school to help welcome new and returning students to campus!” said Asia Duren, director of student life at The W. “Every event during Blues Week is planned to help students find community and feel at home on campus. We are so thrilled to have all of our students back with us and know this will kick off a great year.”
Students have a variety of events to choose from throughout the week. W Family Feud will take place Saturday at 8 p.m. in Nissan Auditorium, as well as the Owl-Palooza Concert on the Pohl Greenspace, Sunday at 7 p.m.
Students will also get the chance to peruse the organizational offerings on campus during the annual Involvement Fair on Tuesday, Aug. 25 form 6-8 p.m., in Pohl Gym.
The festivities will begin to wind down Sunday, Aug. 23 with the Luau & Dive In Movie, at the Stark Recreation Center.
