The annual Suicide Awareness Walk will be held on Thursday, Sept. 3 at 1p.m., beginning in Nissan Auditorium on Mississippi University for Women’s campus.

The event is hosted by The W’s nursing department, Counselling Center, Active Minds organization and the organization, Contact Helpline.

Yellow ribbons and bracelets will be given out at the event.

There will be a few brief words, and then participants will walk as a group to recognize those who have been lost to suicide.
