First Generation College Student Celebration

On November 8th, schools across the nation will celebrate their 1st generation students for the annual National First-Generation College Celebration. This day commemorates the anniversary of the Higher Education Act of 1965 (HEA) signing. Here at the W, The Office of Student Life in collaboration with The Student Success Center will host a celebration for 1st Gen students, faculty, staff and alumni. We will have special guest Laverne Greene-Leech, one of original six women to integrate MUW in 1966, in attendance for this event. We invite you to enjoy refreshments and celebrate with us at 4 pm in the Cochran Ballroom on November 8th as we celebrate our First Gen students.
