We know college is not just about academics. Here at The W, it's easy to find a fit in one of more than 70 student organizations. You can plan a concert, compete in intramural sports, serve in student government, participate in a social club, sorority, or fraternity. You can even start your own organization. There's plenty to do!

Get Involved

Our philosophy is that leadership opportunities should be available for every student. Because we're a small campus, you can find a leadership role whatever your interests: student government, residence hall staff, fraternities, or academic special interest groups. At The W, you will be able to develop your skills and shine!

Mag Chain

Dating to the late 19th Century, the Magnolia Chain is one of our oldest and most cherished traditions. The white magnolia blossoms symbolize the purity of achievement, and the green leaves represent the growing experiences of the graduates over the past four years. Tradition holds that graduates who are able to walk away with a magnolia blossom or bud after the ceremony will have good fortune.

Music by Women Festival

This international music symposium brings hundreds of female composers and musicians to The W campus in March for three days of world-class music.
