Each year, several scholarships totaling over $10,000 are available to students officially enrolled as Family Science majors. These scholarships are awarded based on a variety of criteria, including academic achievement, financial need, leadership skills, attitude, and program of study. Two of the larger scholarships often go unawarded simply because eligible students don’t apply. If you are a Family Science major with a composite ACT score of 22 or are a first-year student, you are strongly encouraged to apply—your chances of receiving a scholarship are very high! Applications are typically due in March, but may be submitted at any time.
Cost shouldn't be a barrier. At The W it won't be. We believe that the cost of a college education should not be a deterrent to your pursuit of earning a bachelor's degree. The W has kept tuition among the lowest in the Southeast. We offer a range of scholarships, and grants to help you pay for your education.
See for yourself! Our Net Price Calculators can tell you what you can expect to pay in tuition and the scholarships you are eligible to receive.
Be sure to also complete the FAFSA and apply to the University to be eligible for other forms of financial aid. Incoming students are strongly encouraged to complete their application and financial aid applications prior to April 15.
