This program is in honor of Sonya Kovalevsky, an outstanding 19th century mathematician and the first woman to receive a doctoral degree in mathematics. It is a one - day event with mathematics activities organized for high school girls and their teachers (male or female). The program begins at 8:30 a.m. and ends at 2:30 p.m. Registered participants may check in between 8:00 a.m. and 8:30 a.m. in the lobby of Parkinson Hall at MUW. Lunch (@ $7) will be provided for free for the first 100 participants to register.
