Residual ACT

The Residual ACT is available to students who are unable to take the exam on the national test dates. Scores from this test are only valid at Mississippi University for Women and Mississippi School for Math and Science (MSMS) Admissions. Registration closes one week prior to scheduled test date. The Residual ACT will change to the enhanced version October, 2027. Until then, students wishing to take the Residual ACT will take the Legacy version which includes English, Math, Reading and Science. The composite score will be calculated based on all four required sections. Residual ACT scores will not be used to calculate ACT Super Scores. Residual ACT scores may not be used for admission to MUW nursing program.

Cost

The cost is $75. There are no fee waivers for the Residual ACT. Refunds will not be given. Instead, students can reschedule their testing date.

Score Reports

The SCC does not provide score reports.  To receive your scores, call the Office of Admissions at (662) 329-7106 after 1:00P.M. the Wednesday after your test.

NOTES

• The scores from the Residual ACT are only valid at Mississippi University for Women and cannot be sent to another institution.
• Residual ACT scores may not be used for admission to MUW nursing program.
• Residual ACT assessments may only be taken every 60 days, regardless of location tested.
