Mississippi Governor’s School Announces 2025 Session Dates

COLUMBUS, MS – The Mississippi Governor’s School (MGS) is pleased to announce that its 2025 session will be held from June 1 to June 14, 2025, at Mississippi University for Women (MUW). Known for its rigorous curriculum and leadership development focus, MGS provides high-achieving high school juniors and seniors from across Mississippi with a unique, tuition-free residential learning experience.

With a competitive 20% acceptance rate, the program boasts a rigorous selection process designed to identify the most motivated and academically talented students. Selected participants will engage in two weeks of intensive coursework led by distinguished faculty, hands-on learning experiences, and opportunities to develop innovative solutions to complex challenges.

The theme for the 2025 session, “Connections,” invites students to explore interdisciplinary approaches to understanding the relationships that shape our world. The program fosters critical thinking, collaboration, and creative problem-solving in an inspiring and supportive environment.
