Bio:
Mackenzie Pearce serves as Project Coordinator for the Office of Early Childhood and the Wise Start initiative at Mississippi University for Women’s Center for Education Support. In this role, she manages the daily operations of early childhood programming, supports the Excel by 5 certification process for Columbus-Lowndes County, and fosters collaboration among educators, families, and community partners to strengthen local early learning systems.
Mackenzie brings a background in nonprofit development, policy, and community engagement to her work. Before joining MUW, she served with the Women’s Foundation of Alabama, Vote Run Lead, and the Mississippi Senate Study Group on Women, Children, and Families—experiences that deepened her commitment to elevating overlooked voices and connecting people and resources to strengthen communities often left out of the conversation.
Known to her CES team as “the last Girl Scout,” Mackenzie can often be found in her office on the first floor of EDHS, finding creative solutions to the day’s needs while singing along to her newest Spotify playlist. Mackenzie takes pride in keeping the first floor smiling and laughing. no matter how busy the week is.
In her spare time, Mackenzie loves cheering on her favorite football and basketball teams, reading, and joining trivia nights with friends—when she’s not being taken for a walk around campus by her standard Goldendoodle, Walter, of course.
