The Center for Education Support (CES) strengthens the School of Education at The W by advancing engagement, outreach, and support beyond the university classroom. Our work centers on student success, professional learning, and community connection—because education is the foundation of progress for individuals, families, and communities.
Founded on July 1, 2023, CES was established as the support arm of the School of Education. Built on the strong foundation of the Outreach and Innovation team, CES continues that legacy of relationships and programming while now fully aligning within the School of Education, the academic hub of our unit.

The School of Education’s mission is clear: build and sustain the education workforce from early learning through K–12 and into lifelong learning. With teacher shortages impacting every level, this work is urgent. CES responds by listening, weaving partnerships, and delivering innovative solutions that strengthen pipelines and create lasting impact.
Our work includes:
- Recruitment and Visibility – Coordinating outreach, marketing, and storytelling to recruit and retain future educators.
- Student Engagement and Belonging – Supporting student organizations, recognition events, conferences, and job fairs that connect students and strengthen retention.
- Professional Learning and Growth – Offering CEUs, contact hours, and professional development that equip practicing educators to lead with confidence.
- Partnerships and Outreach – Sustaining strong collaborations while pursuing new grants, funding, and policy opportunities that expand our reach.
- Accountability and Excellence – Managing grants, reporting, and compliance while fostering a culture of hospitality, service, and transparency.
At CES, we believe education drives economic development, workforce readiness, and community sustainability. High-quality teaching requires continuous support, and lifelong learning—from birth through adulthood—remains the most powerful change agent for society.
Together with our students, alumni, faculty, and partners, we are building the future of education in our region and beyond.
