We are building stronger connections between our students and the schools they hope to serve—and creating an opportunity for future teachers to begin becoming paid professionals before they graduate.
Our new Assistant Teacher Apprenticeship Program is at the heart of that effort. Through our “earn while you learn” program, qualified students can become full-time paid Assistant Teachers during their senior year while completing their teacher education degrees—earning a salary and benefits while gaining the experience, confidence, and professional connections that come from being part of a school community.
If you are already working as an Assistant Teacher or paraprofessional, we want to help you take the next step. If you are a community college student already working as an Assistant Teacher, your experience and your goals have a place here. And if you are a high school or transfer student who has never worked in a school, we can help you find your way into the classroom.
This is more than preparing to become a teacher. It is beginning your career while you prepare for it.
For our school partners, this creates something equally valuable: an opportunity to grow your own teachers. You can get to know future educators, support their development, and potentially have a talented new teacher ready to join your faculty after graduation.
