Maurice Carlos Ruffin is the author of the story collection The Ones Who Don’t Say They Love You and the novel We Cast A Shadow. A long-time New Orleans resident, Ruffin is the reicipient of the 2023 Louisiana Author Award and was the 2022 Grand Marshal of the Mardi Gras Krewe of House Floats. His next novel, The American Daughters, is due to be released next year.
