T. J. Anderson III is the author of three poetry collections Devonte Travels the Sorry Route, Cairo Workbook, and River to Cross as well as the spoken word poetry CD Blood Octave and the literary study, Notes to Make the Sound Come Right: Four Innovators of Jazz Poetry. He lived as Fulbright Scholar at Cairo University and is Professor of English at Hollins University in Roanoke, Virginia.
