The Department of Music at Mississippi University for Women will present an evening of favorite moments from music drama Thursday, April 28 and Friday, April 29, in Poindexter Hall’s Kossen Auditorium.

The Opera Workshop Scenes performances features excerpts from Mozart’s ever-popular “The Magic Flute” and Puccini’s beloved “La Boheme,” alongside several others.

This performance is a capstone project performed by students in the Opera Workshop class. Stage direction is by W assistant professor of voice Dr. Susan Hurley, who teaches the class.

The MUW Chamber Singers are also featured throughout the performance and highlighted in much-loved famous opera choruses including Verdi’s “Va, pensiero” and the Humming Chorus from Puccini’s “Madama Butterfly.”
