Wellness Wellness Wednesday: CES Builds Community for Education Majors

COLUMBUS, Miss. – The Center for Education Support (CES) at Mississippi University for Women is hosting its Wellness Wednesday series this semester, giving education majors (or anyone who stops by) a consistent space to pause, connect, and recharge. The events are held on the second Wednesday of each month at 10:30 a.m., with students encouraged to wear blue for W Wednesday.
This fall’s lineup:
- Aug 20 – “First Day of Class” Coffee/Water Bar and Photo Props (completed)
- Sep 10 – “Pop On By!” Popcorn and Drinks (completed)
- Oct 8 – “Come Grab Some Vitamin Sea” Pirate theme with Emergen-C
- Nov 12 – “W Gratitude Board” Interactive Mentimeter thank-you wall in the lobby
“Our Wellness Wednesday series is a fun way to remind students that wellness doesn’t have to be complicated,” said Amber Cook, CES Educational Coordinator for Enrichment. “These little moments of connection help build community and show future teachers how important it is to care for themselves.”
