Dr. Hunt holds a B.S. in Business Education and a M.S. in Business from the Mississippi University for Women.  She also holds a Doctorate of Education Degree from Mississippi State University.  She has received numerous teaching awards including the 1999 MUW Faculty Member of the Year award for excellence in teaching and service to the University.  In addition, she was awarded the Division of Business and Communication Faculty Member of Year award for 1989, 1992, 1994, 1997, and 1999, the HEADWAE (Outstanding Faculty) award by MS Legislature in 1999, and was voted the Educator of the Year by the Columbus-Lowndes Chamber of Commerce in 1987 and 2000.  In addition to her teaching responsibilities, Dr. Hunt has served as the Interim Vice President for Academic Affairs, Interim Division Head, and the Interim Director of Career Services.  She has developed and presented professional development
seminars and training sessions in such areas as decision making, problem solving, conflict resolution, leadership, team building, and strategic planning.  She is a member of the statewide Atmos Customer Advisory Board.

Anne L. Balazs

Dr. Balazs holds an A.B. in Economics from Smith College and a Ph. D. in Business Administration from the University of Massachusetts. She received the Richard D. Irwin Doctoral Dissertation Fellowship and also was an American Marketing Association Doctoral Consortium Fellow. In 2001, she was named one of Mississippi’s 50 Leading Business Women and in 2004, she was a Visiting Professor Program participant for the Advertising Education Foundation.  Her research interests include retail strategy, quality of life/health care marketing, salesperson performance, Internet advertising and communication.  She has published in the Journal of Business Research, Journal of Shopping Center Research, Journal of International Marketing, Journal of Health Communication, Journal of Consumer Affairs, and Psychology & Marketing.

Rex Bruington holds a B.S. in Accounting from Emporia State University and a M.S. in Organization and Administration from the University of Kansas.  He has over twenty years experience as a Certified Public Accountant in public practice, serving as a partner/owner for over twelve years.  His research interests include auditing, accounting systems, cost, and managerial accounting.

Joseph Faello holds an MBA from Niagara University and a Bachelor of Commerce, Honors from Queens University.  He is a Chartered Accountant and Certified Management Accountant in Ontario, Canada.  His work experience includes twelve years of public accounting experience, including six years as a partner in a firm in Toronto, Ontario.  In addition, Mr. Faello has eight years of experience in industry working in the aerospace, home building, and door hardware industries.  Prior to moving to Mississippi in 2003 to pursue a Ph.D. in accounting from Mississippi State University, Mr. Faello served as vice president of finance for a door hardware manufacturer in Mississauga, Ontario.  Mr. Faello’s research interests are in financial reporting, earnings management, and corporate governance.

Dr. Larson holds a Ph.D. in Business Administration with an emphasis in Marketing from Mississippi State University where she earned a MBA and a B.S. in Business Administration. She has received numerous teaching awards including the 2000 and 2002 Division of Business and Communication Faculty Member of Year awards and Outstanding Advisor in 2001 and 2002. She is active in the Marketing Management Association and since 2005 has served as its Proceedings editor.  Dr. Larson’s research interests include Internet retailing, in-home shopping, consumer behavior, and perceived risk.  In 2004, she won the MBAA McGraw-Hill/Irwin Distinguished Paper Award.  She has published articles in Journal of Marketing Theory and Practice, Journal of Consumer Service in Marketing & Management, and Marketing Management Journal.

Ms. Lowery holds a B.S. in Business Administration from Mississippi University for Women and a M.S.B.A. in Management Information Systems from Mississippi State University.  She has worked as a Level 1 Technology Trainer for the Mississippi Department of Education and as an IT Director at JBHM Architects.  In addition, she has served as the MIS Director and Customer Service Manager for Ayrix Technologies.  In 2003 and again in 2006, Mrs. Lowery earned the Business Faculty Member of the Year award for excellence in teaching.

Dr. McClintock holds a B.S. in Information Systems Management from San Diego State University, an MBA and a Ph.D. in Higher Education Administration from Ohio University.  She has over thirty years experience in the MIS field.  Dr. McClintock worked as the MIS Director for Shawnee State University in Portsmouth, OH, Yuma County Government in Yuma, AZ, and Fisherman’s Hospital in Marathon, FL.  In addition, she has experience as a Systems Analyst.  She is certified as a CDP from the Institute for Certification of Computer Professionals and actively provides consulting services on Information Systems issues.  Her research interests include information technology, digital divide in Internet access, and information systems issues in small universities and colleges.  She won Administrative Systems Distinguished Paper Awards at the Federation of Business Disciplines Conference and the SWFAD Conference.  In addition, she has articles published in numerous conference proceedings such as MECA, CAUSE, and EduCAUSE.

Glenn Rhyne

Glenn Rhyne holds a B.S. in Business from Western Carolina University, a M.B.A. from Appalachian State University, and a D.B.A. from Mississippi State University with a major in Economics and minors in Finance and Quantitative Analysis.  Dr. Rhyne was the Senior Economic Analyst for Duke Power Company in Charlotte, NC for over twenty years.  In addition, he worked as the Director of Research and Assistant Division Head for South Carolina Public Service Commission in Columbia, SC.  In the 1970s he served on the Mississippi Energy Committee and developed economic models for utilities to forecast demand for electricity.  He also served on the Southern States Energy Board and coordinated energy policies for the southern states.   In addition, he has testified before the House/Senate on regulatory issues.  His research interests include utility issues, cost of capital and finance, and economics.  He has published in the Journal of Finance and other related journals.  For the 2003/2004 school year, he was named the MUW Faculty Member of the Year award for excellence in teaching and service to the University and received the Division of Business and Communication Faculty Member of the Year award for the 2004/2005 school year.

Ms. Sorrels holds a B.S. and a M.S. in Business Education from Mississippi University for Women.  Ms. Sorrels has 30 years of business experience.  She has served as administrative assistant to the president of a large corporation and as the Vice President of Sales/Marketing. In addition, she has experience in human resource management, strategic planning, and market development.

Randy Stewart holds a B.A. in Accounting from the University of Southern Mississippi and a M.B.A. from the University of Southern Mississippi.  He has won several awards including the Mississippi Leadership Coalition, Institute for Disability Studies Award and the Graduate Council Research Fellowship.  He has worked as a Bank Auditor for Magnolia Federal Bank, and as a Manager of Personnel/Finance for Mississippi Job Corps Center.  Mr. Stewart’s research interests include health care management, organizational downsizing, cynicism and leadership, and reasonable accommodation.  He has published articles in Medical Care Research and Review, Endeavors, and the Academy of Management Health Care Management Division Conference Proceedings

Scott Tollison holds a B.B.A. in Business Information Systems from Mississippi State University, and a M.S. in Information Systems from Mississippi State University. Mr. Tollison’s research interests include network computing, open source software, computer programming, and distance education particularly as it relates to gender differences in online communications.
