Ellen Morris Prewitt is a Jackson, Mississippi native, who grew up there, in Denver, and in Charlotte, North Carolina. She returned to Jackson, where she practiced law for nineteen years. She now lives in Memphis, Waveland, and New Orleans, where her novel When We Were Murderous Time-Traveling Women is set. Guided by three women ancestors, the main character, Etoile, sets out to uncover a mystery from the city’s past in a story Chapter 16 has described as a “a time-bending adventure, spanning histories, packed with action, violence, humor, and heart.”
