Kendall Dunkelberg is Chair of the Department of Languages, Literature, and Philosophy and director of the Low-Residency MFA in Creative Writing at Mississippi University for Women. This semester he is on sabbatical from these duties and from directing the Eudora Welty Writers’ Symposium, which he has directed for the past seventeen years. He has written four books of poetry, Tree Fall with Birdsong, Barrier Island Suite, Time Capsules, and Landscapes and Architectures, as well as the creative writing textbook, A Writers’ Craft: Milti-Genre Creative Writing and translations of the Belgian poet Paul Snoek.
