Lauren Rhoades is a graduate of The W’s MFA in Creative Writing. A former director of the Eudora Welty House, she now serves as Director of Grants at the Mississippi Arts Commission and editor of the online magazine, Rooted Magazine, which explores the lives of Mississippi natives, expats, and transplants. Split the Baby is her debut essay collection on growing up in an interfaith family separated by divorce.
