Rickey Fayne grew up in a small town in western Tennessee, near where his debut novel, The Devil Three Times, is set. He is a graduate of the Michener Center for Writers at the University of Texas and Northwestern University, and he teaches fiction writing at the University of Wisconsin, Madison. His fiction has appeared in magazines such as Guernica, Sewanee Review, Kenyon Review, Joyland, and American Fiction, and he has received Notable Mention in Best American Mystery and Suspense.
