Carrie R. Moore is a Georgia native, currently living in Texas. Her debut collection of stories, Make Your Way Home, is published by Tin House Books. She is earned her MFA in fiction from the Michener Center for Writers at the University of Texas, where she was fiction editor for Bat City Review. Her stories have appeared in One Story, The Sewanee Review, Virginia Quarterly Review, The Southern Review, and other publications, she is included in The Best American Short Stories 2025, and her essay “What It Means to be Black and Romantic in America” was published in Oprah Daily on July 10, 2025.
