Music Audition Information
***Auditions for the upcoming Spring 2020 & Fall 2021 Semesters will be treated differently from our traditional in-person auditions due to the COVID-19 outbreak. We will be accepting links to videos via YouTube OR Dropbox of students performing on their instrument. Safety is our top priority at the W, so accompaniment is not necessary for your piece (i.e. singing a piece with no piano accompaniment).***
Audition and Scholarship Information:
All incoming students who wish to major in music are required to perform an audition in front of the Music Faculty.
Students who wish to be admitted for the Spring Semester should contact the Department of Music.
Prospective students must be admitted to the university prior to the audition date. All students who audition will automatically be considered for a music scholarship. The audition information listed above is for students who want to major in Music Education, Music Therapy, or Music (Composition or Performance). Auditions for choral ensembles happen at the beginning of every semester.
- YouTube OR Dropbox Performances of two selections in a contrasting style must be emailed to Dr. Julia Mortyakova.
Feel free to contact Dr. Mortyakova with any additional questions.
