How to Participate
Alumni
If you are an alumna of the W, your experiences and history are invaluable to documenting what life was like on campus for women of your time. We would love to interview you at the Homecoming of your 50th year reunion. If your Golden Girl year is coming up or has already passed and you are interested in being interviewed, please contact Dr. Chanley Rainey at cerainey@muw.edu or the Center Office at (662) 329-7173.
Students
W students who wish to conduct and transcribe interviews can volunteer to participate in upcoming interviews each fall semester. Students must participate in a three-hour training session in January or February and may earn course credit in HIS 202 Oral History Lab.
There is no experience required! The CWRPP partners with the Department of History, Political Science, and Geography as well as the University Archivist to train students in oral history techniques and digitization. We will work with student volunteers to schedule training days and practice sessions. Please help us continue the Golden Girls Project and keep collecting the stories of our campus.
