Step 2: Advisement and Admission to the University

Advising

For academic advisement information, please call
(662) 329-7311.

Prospective students who plan to take non-nursing courses at other institutions should contact the program chair regarding transfer of credit prior to taking the courses. The Human Anatomy & Physiology and Microbiology courses must include labs. All science courses must have been completed within the last six (6) years. A minimum grade of "C" must be earned in all required courses for the ASN curriculum. Two failures (less than "C") in a required science course will disqualify a student from admission into the ASN Program.

Admission to the University

Students must apply for admission into the University. Students must meet admission requirements to the University before an offer of acceptance to the ASN program is made. This is done by completing an MUW Admission Form, submitting a completed Immunization Form and Health Examination Form and having all transcripts mailed to the Office of Admissions. The following link will provide you with admission information:

Step 3: Admission to the ASN Program

The application to the ASN Program is separate from the application to the University. Applicants must submit official transcripts of all colleges attended, ACT score verification and ASN application to the program office by 5:00 PM on June 1. An additional set of transcripts is required for admission to the university.  Click on the links below for information concerning deadlines, and information concerning admission requirements and the curriculum. New applications will be available starting in December of each year and will be posted to this website or you can contact the ASN office to have one sent to you.
