Connect to the World

What do speech, TV, Facebook, newspapers, radio, and the Web have in common? They are all forms of communication. Communication is an essential human activity that connects us to each other as individuals and as a society. The Department of Communication at MUW prepares students to connect with others and the world through a variety of media, including TV, radio, newsprint, the Web, and yes -- speech. Our students learn hands-on how to be professionals in TV, radio and cinematic production; journalism; public relations; advertising; and design for Web and print. Our convergence-based program ensures that all our students have opportunities to practice their skills across multiple media and in multiple formats.

The Department of Communication offers a Bachelor of Arts and a Bachelor of Science in Communication. The Department also offers a minor in Communication and a minor in Film Studies.
