About Robert

Robert joined University Relations in 2023 as a Communication Specialist. He is a 2019 graduate of The W’s Communication program with a minor in film studies.

Prior to joining the University Relations team, Robert spent three years as Managing Editor of the Chickasaw Journal in Houston, Mississippi. He then served as Lifestyles Editor for The Commercial Dispatch in Columbus before joining The W. During that time, he oversaw and contributed to hundreds of publications and provided coverage of local news and sports, as well as photography. He previously worked as a student worker in University Relations while attending The W.

Robert has received numerous awards for his work from the Mississippi Press Association and the College Public Relations Association of Mississippi.
