Honors Scholarships

Honors students in Scotland

Four-year and transfer students receiving the Presidential Award are automatically qualified to enroll in the Honors College and only need to inform the College of their acceptance by emailing honors@muw.edu.

Students receiving the Centennial Award or the Honors Award must participate in the Residential Honors Program, including living in Grossnickle Hall for their first and second years, studying abroad in the summer after their sophomore year, and completing the Residential Honors Curriculum. When students apply to The W, they are notified if they qualify for these competitive scholarships and are invited to interview. Other qualified students may also request admission to the Residential Program if space is available.

Currently, the Centennial Award covers full tuition, room, board, $5,000 toward the required study abroad experience, and a modest book stipend. The Honors Award is for $8,250 per year, plus $2,500 toward the required study abroad experience.
