Preferred Internship Program

The Preferred Internship Program at Mississippi University for Women offers students training and additional resources to secure and be successful in impactful internship experiences.

Application Process

Applications for the Preferred Internship Program are accepted on a rolling basis each semester. To apply, students must submit the following:

1. A completed online application form
2. A resume (For resume assistance, schedule an appointment with the Career Services and Professional Development Center or explore the resume resources.)
3. One (1) recommendation from a W staff or faculty member
4. An interview with the CSPD Center staff

Preferred Internship Application

Program Commitment

Once accepted into the program, Preferred Interns must agree to the following commitments:

• Complete the Preferred Internship Program Bootcamp
• Track the internship experience and maintain a reflection journal
• Complete an internship exit strategy

Benefits of the Program

Preferred Interns will have access to the following benefits:

• Access to internship opportunities, training, and supplemental resources
• A professional headshot and a feature on the CSPD Center’s website and social media channels
• An exclusive Suitable badge to showcase skills and accomplishments on professional profiles
• A recommendation from the CSPD Center for completing the bootcamp training
