The university has been co-educational since 1982.<\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"alignleft size-large is-resized\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.muw.edu\/womenscenter\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/33\/2023\/03\/106A7713-1024x683.jpg\" alt=\"Orr Hall\" class=\"wp-image-274\" width=\"512\" height=\"342\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.muw.edu\/womenscenter\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/33\/2023\/03\/106A7713-1024x683.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/www.muw.edu\/womenscenter\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/33\/2023\/03\/106A7713-300x200.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.muw.edu\/womenscenter\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/33\/2023\/03\/106A7713-768x512.jpg 768w, https:\/\/www.muw.edu\/womenscenter\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/33\/2023\/03\/106A7713-1536x1024.jpg 1536w, https:\/\/www.muw.edu\/womenscenter\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/33\/2023\/03\/106A7713-2048x1366.jpg 2048w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 512px) 100vw, 512px\" \/><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\n<p>The Center is open Monday through Friday, and offers the campus and community an extensive resource library of books and DVDs on a wide variety of topics affecting women and girls, including education, health, biology, history, psychology, literature, politics, and law.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Center provides opportunities for multidisciplinary approaches to the study of women in both traditional and non-traditional roles.\u00a0 Research and programming focus on all issues affecting women and girls, and particularly on the history of MUW and women\u2019s education.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Center&nbsp;offers students the opportunity for hands-on primary research in women\u2019s studies and women\u2019s issues, including collecting oral histories, editing diaries, and preserving and organizing letter collections.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Since the Center&#8217;s Director is also the Director of <a href=\"\/llp\/wgs\">Women&#8217;s, Gender, &amp; Sexuality Studies<\/a>, students are advised about Women&#8217;s Studies course selections and and are guided in planning independent study and research projects in Women&#8217;s Studies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The CWRPP coordinates women-centered programming with other MUW campus units, such as the <a href=\"\/honors\/\">Ina E. Gordy Honors College<\/a>, and the <a href=\"\/read\">Common Reading Initiative<\/a>.
