She is a native of Louisiana, the setting of her debut novel <em>Here Lies<\/em>, which has been named one of <em>Southern Review of Books<\/em>&#8216; Best Southern Books for March 2022 and made <em>Bitter Southerner&#8217;s<\/em> 2022 Summer Reading Roundup.
