Women’s Basketball Brings Home National Championship and Post Season Awards

The W women’s basketball head coach Howard White, Jr., knew he had the knowledge and the experience to take the Owls to a national title before even sitting down for his face-to-face interview. He sold himself as the ideal candidate by telling the hiring committee that a program under his leadership would be successful in all facets of the program. His team would win, and his players would graduate.

MUWAA announces new officers, board members

Mississippi University for Women Alumni Association

COLUMBUS, Miss. – The Mississippi University for Women Alumni Association has elected Kristi Hipp Mosley (1999), of Madison, as president for the 2019-2020 year and welcomes six new board members. Rebecca L. Rogers (2000), of Memphis, Tennessee, will serve as president-elect of the MUWAA.

Fall Athletics Update

The Owls Athletics department entered its second season since it was reestablished in 2017. For the fall season, The W returned men’s soccer, women’s cross country and women’s volleyball and added men’s golf, men’s cross country and women’s soccer.
