Adam was born and raised in Connecticut and is a graduate from the University of Connecticut with a degree in journalism. Adam worked at a weekly newspaper, The Cheshire Herald, the day after he graduated and went to umpire school to pursue a career in professional baseball was for me. After a change of heart, he returned to the newspaper business and worked at newspapers in Middletown, Connecticut, and Norwich, Connecticut.
Journalism led Adam to job at the Athens Banner-Herald in Athens, Georgia, and to The Daily Commercial in Leesburg, Florida, before moving to Columbus, where he served as sports editor of The Commercial Dispatch for more than 10 years.
Adam covered youth, high school, college, and professional athletics for 26-plus years, but felt the timing was right for a change. He took an opportunity to work at The W as a communications specialist. "Even though it is a small campus, there are a lot of stories to tell, so don’t be afraid to reach out to me with your suggestions/ideas," he says.
