Shannon Lucius has been named registrar at Mississippi University for Women.
“Ms. Lucius brings nearly two decades of records administration and registrar experience to the role,” said Dr. Scott Tollison, provost and vice president for academic affairs. “These experiences combined with her vision and her belief in serving our faculty, staff and students serve as a strong foundation on which she will provide strong leadership to the Registrar's Office.”
The Smithville native previously served as a degree auditor and international admissions specialist at Itawamba Community College. In that role, she conferred and awarded degrees, maintained graduation records, evaluated incoming students and maintained students’ records.
Since 2003, she served Itawamba Community College in multiple capacities including admissions specialist and adjunct professor.
“I am truly honored to have the opportunity to serve as the registrar at The W. I look forward to working with the outstanding faculty and staff while providing high-quality service to our students. To the search committee and all others involved, I cannot thank you enough for giving me this amazing opportunity,” said Lucius.
Lucius holds a bachelor of science in business administration from Franklin University. She also earned her master of business administration from Franklin University.
