“Meet the Authors” continues Monday, Nov. 6, with Karen Cox, author of “Goat Castle: A True Story of Murder, Race, and the Gothic South.” Cox will read and sign her work starting at 5 p.m.

“Goat Castle” tells the story of a local feud, killing, investigation and trial, showing how a true crime tale of fallen southern grandeur and murder obscured an all too familiar story of racial injustice.

“Meet the Authors" is hosted by the Fant Memorial Library together with the Department of History, Political Science, & Geography and the Department of Languages, Literature, & Philosophy.

Recently, the Mississippi Humanities Council awarded $2,000 for the Fant Library’s "Meet the Author Series."

The event is free and open to the public. For more information about library events, please visit http://www.muw.edu/library.
