The Town & Tower Club will host its spring luncheon at Mississippi University for Women Thursday, March 5 at 11:30 a.m. in Pope Banquet Room.
In observance of Women’s History Month, the next Town & Tower Club luncheon scheduled for Thursday, March 5, will highlight women in the law, including a panel discussion with attorneys Lindsay Kirkley Clemons of Columbus, Missy Wigginton, aka "Mama Justice," of Tupelo, Stephanie Smith Woodard with Woodard Law Firm, LLC of Columbus, and Clarissa Harris with Harris Law Office, P.C. of West Point.
According to the United States Census Bureau, women made up about one in three lawyers in the U.S. workforce in 2018. During the panel, the community will have an opportunity to hear from at least three area attorneys who have succeeded in a career field typically dominated by males.
The program titled “Balancing the Scales” will be moderated by Karen Clay, general counsel at Mississippi University for Women. The W’s legal studies program will also be highlighted.
Lunch is $15 per person, payable at the door, in the Pope Banquet Room, Hogarth Dining Center, MUW campus.
