Tobacco Free Campus
The W's Tobacco Free Policy
Effective Date: July 1, 2016
- Mississippi University for Women is committed to promoting and providing a safe and healthy environment for its students, faculty, staff, visitors, vendors, volunteers, and contractors.
- As part of this commitment MUW is adopting a Tobacco-Free Campus Policy. Use of tobacco and simulated tobacco in all forms (including but not limited to cigarettes, cigars, hookahs, pipes, blunts, smokeless tobacco, snuff, chewing tobacco, e-cigarettes, vaping devices, and all other electronic smoking devices) is prohibited in all owned, operated, leased, occupied, and controlled entities of Mississippi University for Women (including but not limited to all buildings, grounds, parking areas, walkways, intramural fields, tennis courts, and any other recreational or
public areas) and vehicles owned or leased by MUW, as well as any spaces where university-sponsored or university-related activities are held, including during non-instructional and non-service hours.
- This policy applies to all students, faculty, staff, visitors, volunteers, vendors, and contractors.
