Health & Safety
The wellness and well-being of our students in one of our highest priorities. The W is equipped to provide basic medical and psychological services to our students free of charge. Our state-certified police officers are available around the clock and patrol the 140 acre campus.

Campus Health Center

All MUW and MSMS students, faculty and staff are eligible to use the Health Center. No fee is charged for routine visits to the Health Center. Spouses and dependent children over the age of three years also are eligible to use the health center for a fee of $15.00. Visit the Campus Health Center website.

Counseling Center

The Counseling Center is available to provide a wide range of services to students enrolled at The W. If a student is experiencing stress, having difficulty adjusting to student life, struggling to create or maintain peer/family relationships, or simply needs an objective point of view regarding a decision or issue in their life, the counseling staff can help. MUW Police Department

The Mississippi University for Women Police Department is comprised of Police Officers fully certified by the State of Mississippi. The officers continually train and keep abreast of changes in the laws and any trends that could impact safety on this campus. View the MUW Police website.

ID Card Services

Campus Card Services Office is responsible for the management of operations and activities of ID Card Services, issuing and maintenance of ID cards and implementation of subsequent ID card applications.Visit the ID Services website

Passport to Wellness

Passport to Wellness is a year-long program geared towards educating participants and encouraging action. It addresses the problem of unhealthy lifestyle choices relating to diet, physical activity, and stress management. View the Passport to Wellness website.
