{"id":700,"date":"2024-10-29T18:42:33","date_gmt":"2024-10-29T18:42:33","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.muw.edu\/registrar\/?page_id=700"},"modified":"2024-10-29T18:42:33","modified_gmt":"2024-10-29T18:42:33","slug":"change-of-major-minor","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/www.muw.edu\/registrar\/students\/registration\/change-of-major-minor\/","title":{"rendered":"Change of Major\/Minor"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Students that wish to change their major, add a second major or minor must complete a Change of Major\/Minor request form.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>You may submit a Change of Major\/Minor request through your Banner Self-Service account which is accessible through your WConnect.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><u>Submitting a Change of Major\/Minor Request.<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Sign into WConnect.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Under Quick Launch, select Banner Self-Service.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Within the Student Forms block, select Change of Major\/Minor Request.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Indicate the change(s) you wish to make by checking the appropriate box.\n<ol style=\"list-style-type:lower-alpha\" class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>First Major \u2013 changing current major to another major<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><span style=\"color: initial;\">Second Major \u2013 adding a second major<\/span><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><span style=\"color: initial;\">First Minor \u2013 adding a minor<\/span><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Second Minor \u2013 adding a second minor<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Comments box \u2013 indicate any relevant information regarding your change in this area.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Check the box \u2013\u00a0\u00a0<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"14\" height=\"15\" class=\"wp-image-701\" style=\"width: 14px;\" src=\"https:\/\/www.muw.edu\/registrar\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/3\/2024\/10\/Checkbox.png\" alt=\"\">\u00a0I submit this Change of Major\/Minor Request.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Student Signature \u2013 Click to sign.\n<ol style=\"list-style-type:lower-alpha\" class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>A dialogue box appears for your electronic signature.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p>At this point the Change of Major\/Minor form will be routed to the department of your new major for approval; then moves to the Registrar\u2019s Office for approval and processing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Notification of the completion of the change(s) will be sent to the student\u2019s university email account.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Students that wish to change their major, add a second major or minor must complete a Change of Major\/Minor request form.
