Santa Fe College<br>B.A. University of Ottawa<br>M.Sc. Queen\u2019s University<br>Ph.D. Queen\u2019s University<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Andrew T. Pham is a social psychologist. He studies persuasion, measurement, and how people form judgments and make decisions, including when an AI system is one of the parties.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">His research on stealing thunder, the strategy of disclosing bad news about yourself before someone else does, appears in the <em>Journal of Experimental Social Psychology<\/em>. He is also the statistical lead on published work in Vietnamese sociolinguistics, and presents invited talks, workshops, and keynotes on AI and research methods at universities globally.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">At Mississippi University for Women he teaches the department&#8217;s research methods and statistics sequence, along with courses in AI, social influence, social psychology, and industrial-organizational psychology.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">He directs the Behavioral AI &amp; Decision Science Lab.
